History

The Duffs are fourth generation beef producers.

Stephen grew up at ‘Di Di’ Proston where his family (JP Duff & Sons Pty. Ltd) owned five properties in the South Burnett area totaling 160,000 acres and running eight thousand Hereford and Angus cattle.

Duff Red Brangus commenced in 2001 with twenty five Brahman heifers, twenty five F1’s and a bull from Doonside. The herd started from this base although a number of stud and commercial heifers have been bought in along the way. Sires have mostly been purchased from Ian and Anne Galloway’s Duarran Stud at Roma which includes some of the best Sires in Australia today.

The Duff children, Mortimer, Josephine, Catherine and Charlotte also help with the cattle and compete in Young Judges Competitions.
